About the event
Food is a way to show love for the people you share it with. As queer folks, we often build chosen families into which we infuse and create food traditions of our own. Many of us love to feed our people, but we don’t always tell the story of WHY we love it. In this virtual event we’re going to explore together what it means to cook a dish, perfect it, and share it with our chosen family.
At Our Stories: Queer the Table, we’ll be highlighting three queer people who will lead a segment of their own queer cooking show. (You know you’ve been waiting for it!) They will show the dish they are going to share, how they prepare it, and why the dish is so important to them.
We invite you to join and ask questions, learn, and be part of this beautiful experience.
